Dedi Bepunkt

I'm Dedi, mid-40s, from the Saarland. I've been on stage or in the studio since 1998. Apart from Schlager, there's nothing musically that doesn't appeal to me. So I'm open to pretty much anything.

Spontaneous jam gigs give me a sense of freedom and the feeling that the music comes first, because you always have to adapt to someone new. Even if you've maybe played a song a thousand times, it develops a different, fresh drive in every new lineup.

I also write little songs, mostly acoustic, often in dialect or English and every now and then in standard German, and maybe a little poetic. Since my punk band Kill your Neighbours! went on a break, things have gotten pretty quiet. That said, for quite some time now I've been working on a new, loud full-length album.

The first single from it is Walls of Stone. Together with many other musicians from the Saarland, a work is taking shape that is produced entirely in my own studio and completely under my own direction, and that naturally needs time to mature.
